I will be exibiting at the Guitare Montréal classical guitar festival, on the 26th and 27th of April, from 10h am to 5h pm. You will find me at room 8.265 of the MB building of the Concordia university, located at 1450 Guy street.

Our 75th guitar is in the hands of its owner!
It is with great pride that we announce that 75 Moisan guitars have now been built! The 75th, a cutaway classical model, with a figured Lutz Spruce top and Shedua back and sides, was delivered to its owner at the beginning of February.

Once again, the Montreal guitar show experience turned out to be quite pleasing! It is always great to meet so many guitar enthusiasts in a single weelend.

Yet another article from Les Guitares Moisan published in the Guitarmaker magazine!
Once again, the american lutherie magazine Guitarmaker publishes one of our article. The article entitled How to tell if a guitar needs to be adjusted, already published on our web site, is featured in the spring edition of the magazine.
Also, Bill Hatfield, faithful reader of the Guitarmaker magazine and owner of the Hatfield Guitar and Repair shop, located in Janesville, Wisconsin , as even decided to include the article to his own web site !
Jean-Pierre Chassé launches his album !
People who are used to follow the developments surrounding Les Guitares Moisan are most certainly familiar with Jean-Pierre Chassé, undeniably talented guitar player, and proud owner of a Moisan guitar (and his second is on the way !). Mr Chassé will launch is solo album, Pilgrim of the strings, May 1st on the Scène Financière Sun-Life of the Monument National.
On monday February 1st, Julien Sagot, member of the group Karkwa, launched his new solo album Piano Mal, on which his Moisan guitar was used for many of the tracks. On the picture, we can see Julien with his Moisan guitar, while launching the album at the La Tulipe theatre in Montreal.

Jean-Pierre Chassé, a very talented guitar player, and owner of a Moisan guitar, has just finished recording his first solo album, which should be available soon. Take a look at the following videos to have a glimps of his talent :

It is with pleasure that we will be exposing our demonstrator guitars at the Guitar Alla Grande festival, on Februrary the 19th, from 11hAM to 2hPM, at the au Tabaret Hall of the University of Ottawa (550, Cumberland st).

Lutherie students visiting Les Guitares Moisan
It is with pleasure that we have welcomed in the shop students from lutherie DEC program of the Vieux-Montréal College. Freshmen students of the Bruand school of lutherie have received a guided tour of our shop, where we have exposed to them the different tasks a guitar maker must go through on a day to day basis.

The Montreal Guitar Show experience was a reel pleasure ! Meeting all these guitar amateurs as well as other luthiers is priceless. We will most certainly be back next year!

The Guitar Player magazine talks about us!
We are very proud to be mentioned in no less than the Guitar Player magazine. Out of the 130 luthiers present at the Montreal Guitar Show, the journalist Barry Cleveland underlines the forward-thinking work of ten amongst them, Les Guitares Moisan being the first of those ten !
Note that the spectacular guitar that is shown here after on the cover of the magazine is not a Moisan guitar, but rather the Andamento guitar, made by Ervin Somogyi.

The Guitares Moisan team growes up !
A bran new intern just made its way into the Guitares Moisan team. Her futur with us is most certainly very promising, although we will need to be a little patient before she can fully master the art of lutherie. We wish a very warm welcome to the little Chloé !

A 50th Moisan guitar!
It is with great pride that we announce that our 50th Moisan guitar as been delivered. It is a Classical model for which the owner, Élodie Langenais-Desmarais, studies in classical guitar at the Montreal university.
We are happy to know that our 50e guitar will be played by such talented hands!

Les Guitares Moisan wins a price at the Salon des métiers d’art !
It is with great pride that we annonce that Les Guitares Moisan as won the Jean-Cartier price at the Salon des métiers d’art.
The jury as underlined "the respect for traditions in the technical realisation of his guitars, the innovation, the research and audacity for each of his instruments, his concern for quality and his choice of materials."
