The Flamenco
Although this nylon string model is very similar to the classical model, it differs with it through many technical aspects. Amongst them, the wood species used for the back and sides as well as the very thin bridge and fingerboard allowing for strings to be closer to the top. This results in a dry and percussive sound saught after by Flamenco players.
The bracing patern of the Classical model I make is the widely used fan bracing patern, for which we know as many variations as luthiers who use it! In the case of the Flamenco model, I use five longitudinal braces. Just as for all the other guitar models I offer, the bracing dimensions are preciely established, in conjunction with the thickness of the top, in order to obtain a perfect balance between flexibility and stiffness.
Several orientations can be given to the Flamenco model. For example the conerto style which has, amongst other things, a thicker body therefore offering a more round and deep sound. It is also possible ot use denser and darker woods, such as rosewoods, for the back and sides, thus turning the Flamenco into a Flamenca Negra. Of course, the more traditional Flamenco model where the focus is put on the percussive and dry flamenco sound is also offered.
By default, the Classical is equiped with Shaller Classical tuners, although many other types of tuners are available on demand.
